Actalong Н Mix is suspension of biosynthetic human insulin biphasic action, containing insulin fast- and long-acting. Composıtıon: 1 ml of medicine contains insulin biphasic human recombinant 40 IU (12 IU soluble form of insulin and 28 IU suspension form of insulin isophane) or 100 IU (30 IU soluble form of insulin and 70 IU suspension form of insulin isophane).
Blood glucose level is reduced due to the increase of intracellular glucose transportation after binding of insulin to the insulin receptors in muscle and fat cells and simultaneous inhibition of glucose production in the liver.
Onset of action is within 30 minutes after subcutaneous injection. The maximum effect reaches within 2-8 hours. The entire duration of action is up to 24 hours.
