Actalong H Pro is a hypoglycemic drug, intermediate-acting insulin. Blood glucose level is re-duced due to the increase of intracellular glucose transportation after binding of insulin to the insulin receptors in muscle and fat cells and simultaneous inhibition of glucose production in the liver.
Onset of action is within 1.5 hours after subcutaneous injection. The maximum effect is reached within 4-12 hours. The entire duration of action is up to 24 hours.
